White Sox Sign 40-year Old Reliever Jeff Nelson

I’m unable to confirm this anywhere on the internet, but according to White Sox broadcaster “DJ” Darrin Jackson, the White Sox have signed towering gangly right hander and notoriously ugly old man Jeff Nelson.

Jeff “Nellie” Nelson has played 14 seasons in the big leagues, where he started in Seattle, went to New York, went back to Seattle, went to Texas, and then back to Seattle.  The Seattle-Nelson relationship somehow reminds me of the White Sox relationship with current Mariner Carl Everett.

This is apparantly GM Kenny Williams’ solution to the current bullpen problems of the Chicago White Sox.  Who knows.
